On top of his extensive body of work, he has had an impact on both a local and national level. One of these, the 鈥淢ocking Bird Tree鈥 commission, is sponsored by the Sculpture at The River Market Foundation. This $60,000 commission will be installed at the northwest corner of Chenal Parkway and Chenal Valley Drive in west Little Rock in April 2016. The other, the 鈥淟ouisiana Purchase Bicentennial,鈥 was awarded by the Louisiana Purchase Survey Bicentennial Monument Committee. This $190,000 commission will be located at the intersection of Markham and Main Street in downtown Little Rock. Professor Warrick鈥檚 design, chosen from over 30 entries, has an anticipated completion date of August 2016. Another upcoming project, 鈥淭he Lanterns,鈥 will be in the Kingwood, Heights, and Cammack Village neighborhoods. It is a traffic roundabout and has a $75,000 sculpture budget with a total intersection budget of $700,000. The project is currently in the fundraising phase.

Professor Michael Warrick has a B.S. in Ceramics from Illinois State University and M.F.A.s in both Sculpture and Ceramics from Southern Illinois University.
