Judicial Policy Substitute motion,听Memo from Counsel regarding Judicial Policy revisions (preliminary)
Amendment from Core Council to Core Transfer motion:聽Replace item 4.c. with聽“The Office of Transfer Student Services makes the decision about core equivalency.聽聽These decisions may be appealed to the Core Council, who makes the final decision.聽聽The Core Council will determine rules by which it will manage appeals.”
Amendment from Senator Jovanovic regarding Core Transfer motion: Amend FS_2016_28 to add “And Be it resolved聽to combine the Core Transfer Reciprocity Policy as amended, the existing Transfer of 鈥楧鈥� 聽grades Policy 501.10, the existing 鈥楾ransflex鈥� Policy, and other existing policies involving undergraduate transfer credit into a single policy and replace 517.1 with this policy.
颁辞尘尘别苍迟补谤测:听If passed, this motion will not change any of the existing policies; it merely combines all of the existing policies involving transfer credit into a single existing policy about transfer students, which will make it easier for faculty, staff, and administrators to be aware of, and to locate, all of the relevant policies governing transfer students and transfer credit issues. The goal is to improve the university鈥檚 ability to provide useful services to transfer students, thereby encouraging growth of transfer student enrollment, increasing retention of transfer students, and improving graduation rates of transfer students.”
