Bowen names diversity initiatives advocate

The 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law is pleased to name Assistant Dean Rejena S. Grotjohn to lead its diversity initiatives.
This is part of the law school鈥檚 Racial Justice and Equity Action Plan outlined on its website. The plan includes evaluating current programming and curriculum, developing additional initiatives to create a diverse and inclusive environment, and supporting students throughout their law school education.
鈥淚n her role as Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, Dean Grotjohn has been a passionate advocate for Bowen鈥檚 students and their legal education,鈥 said Terri Beiner, Bowen鈥檚 dean. 鈥淪he is well-suited for this role, and I am pleased she has accepted the responsibility.鈥
Grotjohn joined Bowen鈥檚 staff in 2014 as Director of Bar Success Services and became the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs in 2016. Her office supports the academic success, professional development, and health and wellness of Bowen鈥檚 students. Before coming to Bowen, she began her legal career in private practice and later joined the faculty of the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
鈥淥ur students come from a variety of backgrounds. Respecting differences and creating a culture of belonging should be a top priority in every legal education program,鈥 said Grotjohn. 鈥淚 am looking forward to working towards a more inclusive and equitable experience for all Bowen students.鈥
