Curriculum Vitae

Xul P茅rez joined the faculty of the 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law in July 2026 as assistant professor of clinical education and director of the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. He directs and teaches in the clinic, where student attorneys represent low-income taxpayers in federal and state tax controversies, including audits, collections, appeals and U.S. Tax Court matters. His work emphasizes service, access to justice and preparing students to advocate with skill, compassion and cultural awareness.

Before joining Bowen, P茅rez practiced tax controversy law with Community Legal Aid鈥檚 Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic in Ohio, representing taxpayers in audits, collections, appeals and Tax Court matters. His professional experience also includes international tax practice, immigration law, a federal judicial externship and more than a decade of bilingual medical interpreting and community education.

P茅rez earned his J.D., magna cum laude, and Master of Taxation from the University of Akron. He also holds graduate degrees in theological studies, Bible exposition and church music, as well as a bachelor鈥檚 degree in practical theology.
