Please be advised that until the coronavirus is under control, all FedEx package deliveries to our campus will be dropped off at Mail Services.  FedEx is trying to reduce the chances their drivers will come in contact with the virus. Amazon and the US Postal Service already drop off their packages at Mail Services. UPS is still deciding what they will do.
Until further notice, all packages delivered to Mail Services may be picked up during regular business hours. Every package will need to be logged out as proof of delivery. When you come to pick up your mail, please check the shelves for any incoming packages as well.

]]> Starting this week (August 5), the Amazon delivery drivers will be instructed to bring all campus deliveries to the mail room for safe keeping. A work station has been set up inside Mail Services to keep all Amazon packages safe until they are picked up and a sign-out sheet will help us know who is picking up which packages. When Amazon notifies you that your package has been delivered to the mail room, you should plan a time to drop by and pick up your purchases from the mail room staff.

Mail Services does not have the personnel to finish the delivery process for Amazon, but we can become a drop location and keep your packages safe until you come by to pick them up. We hope this new courtesy service will help keep your packages safe and help prevent lost and missing packages.

]]> Amazon rarely uses the United States Postal Service to ship packages. Although Amazon employs a few full-time delivery drivers to deliver packages, they primarily contract with independent delivery drivers or what Amazon calls 鈥淔lex Drivers.” Flex Drivers operate much like an UBER driver; they pick up and deliver packages as their schedule allows.

Flex Drivers have been delivering packages to our campus and since they are unfamiliar with the location of 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 buildings, Amazon packages are often delivered to the wrong location. Please understand that these delivery drivers operate as independent contractors for Amazon and have no connection to either Mail Services or 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock. Flex Drivers are paid very well for delivering packages and they are supposed to secure a signature of the person to whom the package is addressed before leaving.

Please DO NOT accept delivery from an Amazon driver for any package other than your own. By signing for someone else鈥檚 package, you are taking personal responsibility for delivering the package to whom it is addressed. If you mistakenly sign for an Amazon package that is not yours, please notify me and I will contact Amazon to help resolve the matter. Amazon is aware of the problem on our campus and is working to find a solution.

]]> The US Postal Service has raised their rates again. Effective January 27, First-Class stamps now cost $0.55. Mail Services has a limited supply of the First-Class Mail Forever stamps available for $0.50 each until supplies run out. Please feel free to save some money and a trip to the Post Office by purchasing your stamps from the mailroom.
