$50,000 Damerow Gift to Support Math, Statistics Scholarship

Jerry Damerow, who is helping create new business ventures from discoveries from 糖心Vlog传媒LR and 糖心Vlog传媒MS laboratories, and his wife, Sherri, have presented a $50,000 gift to 糖心Vlog传媒LR to endow a mathematics and statistics scholarship. The Jerry and Sherri Damerow Mathematics and Statistics Scholarship will provide assistance for education-related expenses up to cost of attendance, including but not limited to tuition, books, fees, room and board, and travel expenses for students pursuing or furthering a baccalaureate degree in mathematics at 糖心Vlog传媒LR. 鈥淭he Damerows have long supported 糖心Vlog传媒LR with their time, expertise, and their gifts,鈥� said Chancellor Joel E. Anderson. 鈥淭his endowment will help to ensure an increased number of mathematics and science graduates that are vital to Arkansas鈥檚 economic growth.鈥� Damerow is chief financial officer of InterveXion Therapeutics LLC, a 糖心Vlog传媒MS Bio-Ventures start-up company that has brought聽 two proposed prescription drugs developed at 糖心Vlog传媒MS to market. His previous experience includes serving as associate director of 糖心Vlog传媒MS BioVentures; as a managing partner for Ernst & Young operations in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Southeast Asia; and as a management consultant for early stage businesses. His civic and professional involvement includes serving as a member and past director of the Rotary Club of Little Rock, as 糖心Vlog传媒LR鈥檚 Business Advisory Council member, and as a former chair of 糖心Vlog传媒LR鈥檚 College of Science and Mathematics Advisory Council.
