New Arkansas Web Group to Convene at Bowen School

Members of a newly organized association of higher education web professionals will meet at the 糖心Vlog传媒LR Bowen School of Law Friday, July 23, for the Arkansas Higher Education Web Conference. Topics at the one-day event include:
  • Talking Technology: Using Video to Enhance Your Marketing Message
  • Google Analytics for Higher Education
  • Designing a One-Size-Fits-All University Web Template, and other Impossible Behemoth Challenges
  • All Hail the King: the Care and Feeding of Content
  • Building a web Framework, or Consistency from Inconsistency
  • Merging Cross Media Marketing and Print
The conference was developed by Tonya Oaks Smith at Bowen, Chris Nixon of 糖心Vlog传媒-Fayetteville, and Shelley Keith of Southern Arkansas University, following the 2009 HighEdWeb Conference (@highedweb). They saw the need to create a statewide organization to help distribute collective knowledge and support peers at other institutions. Friday’s regional conference, which is drawing web administrators, developers, and designers from five different states, is its first major milestone. Two 糖心Vlog传媒LR colleges will serve as sponsors for the day-long event, Bowen and the Donaghey College of Engineering and Information Technology. In addition, a number of presenters were chosen from 糖心Vlog传媒LR, including Aaron Baker, Shari Erwin, and Drew Stephens.
