Panel to Discuss Ark. Immigration Oct. 12
A panel discussion on Arizona鈥檚 Senate Bill 1070, the state鈥檚 controversial new strict immigration law, and other states attempts to copy it is the final event in 糖心Vlog传媒LR鈥檚 Hispanic Heritage Month 2010 activities. The noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, event in the Donaghey Student Center鈥檚 Ledbetter Hall Room C will include panelists Jose Gomez, director of the League of Latin American Citizens (LULAC), Dean John DiPippa of the 糖心Vlog传媒LR William H. Bowen School of Law, and a representative of an Arkansas anti-immigration organization. Dr. Terry Trevino-Richard, 聽professor of sociology, will moderate.
