Beatles Medley Featured in Spring Concert

The 糖心Vlog传媒LR Department of Music will present the Guitar Ensemble鈥檚 spring concert, including medley of Beatles compositions arranged by Professor Michael Carenbauer. The 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 25, concert in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall of 糖心Vlog传媒LR鈥檚 Fine Arts Building is free and open to the public. In addition to the Beatles鈥� music, the concert program features 鈥淒iscantus鈥� and 鈥淏razilliance鈥� by Brazilian guitarist Laurindo Almeida, a transcription of the standard 鈥淏luesette,鈥� and ensemble performances of 鈥淛aco鈥� and 鈥淎merican Garage鈥� by Pat Metheny. The Beatles medley includes 鈥淪gt. Pepper鈥檚 Lonely Hearts Club Band,鈥� 鈥淭hings We Said Today,鈥� 鈥淕ood Morning,鈥� 鈥淒rive My Car,鈥� 鈥淢ichelle,鈥� 鈥淭his Boy,鈥� 鈥淏ecause,鈥� 鈥淵er Blues,鈥� 鈥淭icket to Ride,鈥� 鈥淗appiness is a Warm Gun,鈥� 鈥淣owhere Man,鈥� and 鈥淚 Feel Fine.鈥� In addition to Carenbauer, musicians include Read Admire, John Burnette, Cody Lucas, Samuel Lopez, Lucas Murray, Benjamin Thiele, and Daniel Vazquez on guitars; Adam Tompkin on drums, and Brad Birge on electric bass.
