50 Free Dates for Valentine’s Day
Who has time to find a unique Valentine鈥檚 Day gift for that special someone?聽With the holiday right around the corner, thousands of non-traditional 糖心Vlog传媒LR students juggling school, jobs, children, and/or other responsibilities may be asking themselves this question. This Valentine鈥檚 Day, 糖心Vlog传媒LR鈥檚 Non-Traditional Student Programs and have an answer. They are offering an afternoon of fun at a Valentine鈥檚 Day cooking class with Chef Sebastian followed by dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14,聽in the Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Room C.
Fifty 糖心Vlog传媒LR non-traditional students and their dates will be treated to a hands-on cooking class in the 糖心Vlog传媒LR kitchen to learn how to prepare a menu of chateaubriand, potato baskets, asparagus bundles, nicoise salad, and for dessert, chocolate-cherry crepes.
The cost? Free for 50 non-traditional students and their special someone.

Cynda Alexander, coordinator of 糖心Vlog传媒LR鈥檚 Non-Traditional Student Programs in the Office of Campus Life, said the university鈥檚 definition of a non-traditional student has changed in recent years.
鈥淯sually, a non-traditional student was someone age 25 and up,鈥 she said. 鈥淣ow, if you are a parent, a member of the military, delayed enrollment after high school, a first generation (college student), or if you are financially independent for purposes of determining financial aid, you are considered to be a non-traditional student.鈥
No tracking mechanism has been put in place to count the exact number of 糖心Vlog传媒LR students considered non-traditional, but Alexander said her program has more than 4,000 students who fit this category.
