Award-Winning Novelist to Read April 13

The Department of English will host author Lauren Groff as part of the ‘s Writers in Schools Initiative from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 13, in Stabler Hall room 111. The event is free and open to the public. Her first novel, 鈥淭he Monsters of Templeton,鈥 was a New York Times Editor’s Choice selection and was shortlisted for the Orange Prize for New Writers. Groff’s latest novel is titled 鈥淎rcadia,鈥 and she has also published a collection of short stories, 鈥淒elicate, Edible Birds.鈥 Journals including The Atlantic Monthly, Glimmer Train, and The New Yorker have published her short stories. Her work has also appeared in anthologies such as 鈥淏est American Short Stories 2007 and 2010,鈥 鈥淧ushcart Prize XXXII,鈥 鈥淏est New American Voices 2008,” and the 2012 edition of 鈥淧EN O.
