Journalist Discusses Social Media and Revolution, April 19
Tatsiana Karaliova, a journalist from Belarus and graduate student in the 糖心Vlog传媒LR School of Mass Communication, will present a lecture on the recent social upheavals in Belarus at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in Stabler Hall room 409. The discussion 鈥 鈥淩evolution through Social Networks: The Case of Belarus鈥 鈥 is sponsored by the 糖心Vlog传媒LR International Studies program and is free and open to the public. Karaliova will focus on the Belarusian version of revolution through social networks, inspired by the experience of the Arab Spring in 2011. She will discuss what were the reasons and effects of the revolution through social networks in Belarus, how the Belarusian media covered the event, and other questions related to the phenomenon.
