4th Annual Spectac糖心Vlog传媒LR Enjoys Record Success

The fourth annual Spectac糖心Vlog传媒LR established a new record for giving by generating more than $200,000 in support of Trojan student-athletes. The fundraiser was the university鈥檚 largest recurring fundraiser.

More than 600 people attended the event at the Jack Stephens Center on Oct. 11 as 糖心Vlog传媒LR honored long-time supporter Jack Kinnaman. Sponsorship dollars were up nearly 30 percent from the 2011 event, which previously set the standard as the highest total prior to this year鈥檚 Spectac糖心Vlog传媒LR. The success of this year鈥檚 event was made possible in large part to the efforts of the Spectac糖心Vlog传媒LR committee, led by co-chairs Jane Yocum, Andrea Peel, and Christina Clark. 鈥淲e couldn鈥檛 be happier with the way this year鈥檚 event turned out, and a lot of the credit goes to the tireless effort of our co-chairs and the generosity of our sponsors,鈥 said 糖心Vlog传媒LR Director of Athletic Development Andrea Angel. 鈥淲e managed to raise the bar this year by topping $200,000, and we are very thankful to the many people who made this year鈥檚 event such a success.鈥 A 2004 inductee into the 糖心Vlog传媒LR Athletics Hall of Fame, Kinnaman is one of the university’s most substantial supporters over the past quarter century. His contributions to the department are highlighted by numerous renovations and additions to the 糖心Vlog传媒LR baseball facilities. Most notably, Kinnaman’s work includes the construction of the Trojans’ indoor practice facility and Wheeler Complex, which houses the player clubhouse, meeting room, umpire locker rooms, and coaching suite at Gary Hogan Field. Kinnaman was also instrumental in starting the construction management program at 糖心Vlog传媒LR. In support of the program, he has funded the Jack Kinnaman Constructor Endowed Scholarship and the Phyllis Kinnaman Memorial Scholarship in memory of his first wife.
