Olson Works on Dispute Resolution, Family Law

Professor Kelly Browe Olson of the 糖心Vlog传媒LR William H. Bowen School of Law participated last month in the planning meeting for the American Bar Association鈥檚 Section of Dispute Resolution Annual Conference. In October, Olson presented a talk on “Dependency Neglect Mediation and How to聽Communicate through Conflict” at the Administrative Office of the Court鈥檚 Arkansas Trial Court Assistants Program in Hot Springs. Earlier this year, Olson 鈥 director of the Bowen School鈥檚 clinical program 鈥 served as facilitator for a housing work group at the Representing Hope, Access to Justice Commission Conference in Little Rock. She facilitated the Child Protection Mediation Think Tank at the AFCC Conference in Chicago. Olson was also appointed program chair for聽the ABA Conference Planning Committee for the 2013 ABA Section on Dispute Resolution Annual Conference. Olson was a participant in the family law discussion work group, 鈥淗ow the聽Recognition of Same-Sex Relationships Is Transforming Family Law Pedagogy and聽Scholarship,鈥 at the annual SEALS conference in Amelia Island, Fla., and聽presented on the “Benefits of Child Welfare Mediation” at the National Association of Counsel for Children鈥檚 35th Child Welfare, Juvenile, and Family Law Conference. Olson made two presentations on mediation trends and mediation ethics at the Arkansas Conflict Resolution Association Meeting in Little Rock.
