Dodgeball for a cause
This week, we have a guest post by聽Emily Bruner,聽Vice President of Public Relations for Eta Sigma. She tells us about their annual dodgeball聽tournament聽and how you can get involved for a good cause.
We鈥檝e been planning and planning and now it鈥檚 here, Kappa Delta Shamrock聽2014! This is Eta Sigma鈥檚 first time to ever have a week long Shamrock.
We’re so聽excited to be promoting our philanthropy, (PCAA),聽all week long. Shamrock is Kappa Delta鈥檚 philanthropy event that chapters all over聽the country hold each year in March. Our big event has always been the Shamrock聽Dodgeball Tournament. This year we have added two more events in hopes to raise聽more money to benefit PCAA.
Thursday, March 13, we鈥檙e kicking off the events with a Pancake Dinner in聽Ledbetter room C at 7:30 p.m. Come join us, as Kappa Deltas serve up fresh IHop聽pancakes complete with a toppings bar! Tickets are $3 in advance and can be聽purchased from any Kappa Delta on campus or at our table on campus.
Friday evening we will be having a Stroll Tournament in the Field house,聽which begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are also $3 in advance, but the event is free to聽participants. Join us for a fun night as sororities and fraternities Stroll Off against聽each other!
Then join us Saturday afternoon for our 5th annual Dodgeball Tournament聽in the DSC Fitness Center on Courts 3 and 4! The event will begin at 2 and run will about 6 p.m. Dodgeball Sign-Ups are taking place all week long. You can sign up聽at our table by the DSC or show up the day of and register your team.
Teams are a聽maximum of 10 players and cost $10 a person, or $90 for a full team of 10.
