Commencement ceremonies set for May 17, inspector general to speak
More than 1,400 students will join the ranks of University of Arkansas at Little Rock alumni following commencement exercises on Saturday, May 17. There will be three 糖心Vlog传媒LR ceremonies on Saturday, one at 9:30 a.m. and another 3 p.m. for the main campus at the 糖心Vlog传媒LR Jack Stephens Center. A separate commencement and hooding ceremony for graduates of The William H. Bowen School of Law will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the Statehouse Convention Center. Dr. Donald R. Bobbitt, president of the U of A System, will be among those to address 糖心Vlog传媒LR graduates during commencement at the Stephens Center. The afternoon ceremony at 糖心Vlog传媒LR will feature remarks from 糖心Vlog传媒LR Alumnus Jon T. Rymer, the inspector general for the U.S. Department of Defense. Jay Moody, a 1989 graduate and U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Arkansas, will speak to graduates of the Bowen Law School. At the 9:30 a.m. ceremony, the following colleges will confer degrees: 鈥ollege of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences 鈥ollege of Education 鈥ollege of Professional Studies For the 3 p.m. ceremony, the following colleges will confer degrees: 鈥ollege of Business 鈥ollege of Science 鈥eorge W. Donaghey College of Engineering and Information Technology The Jack Stephens Center will open for guests at 8 a.m. for the morning ceremony and 1:30 p.m. for the afternoon ceremony. Early arrival is recommended. 糖心Vlog传媒LR reminds its guests that the campus is smoke free. 糖心Vlog传媒LR graduates are encouraged to join the Alumni Association and purchase a commemorative brick.
