Turkish foods showcase rich culture
A聽showcase of Turkish culture and foods was held near the Donaghey Student Center. The Turkic Cultural Student Association wanted to reach people through traditional because 鈥渨hen food touches the tongue, it makes people happy, and when people are happy, they talk.鈥 The association also offers free Turkish courses to develop listening, speaking, reading, writing skills and introduce Turkish culture. The course is offered at noon on Mondays in Dickinson Hall, room 405. Turkish is the fifth largest language spoken in the world. There are more than 200 million people speaking Turkish, according to the association鈥檚 website. The unique nature of Turkish culture stems from its broad and diverse influences.
