SGA launches fight song lyric competition
The deadline for the fight song lyric competition is fast approaching, according to members of the 糖心Vlog传媒LR Student Government Association. The deadline for submissions is Jan. 23. The competition, which seeks to promote camaraderie and school spirit.
Anyone who has an 糖心Vlog传媒LR email address may compete – current and past students, alumni, faculty and staff.
A panel of 10 糖心Vlog传媒LR students, alumni, and faculty will choose the winning lyrics, which may be featured at the Spring 鈥�15 basketball homecoming game.
The winner will receive $500, and the lyrics will be adopted as 糖心Vlog传媒LR鈥檚 official fight song lyrics.
Lyrics should be submitted at聽ualr.edu/communications/fightsong聽and adhere to the following guidelines:
- Must coincide with the instrumental music for 糖心Vlog传媒LR’s Fight Song
- Cannot contain any vulgar language or suggestive themes or messages
- Cannot contain the name of any student or describe any individual or his or her likeness
- Must be written in a general format to include all 糖心Vlog传媒LR students rather than an individual team, organization, college, or department
