A University of Arkansas at Little Rock professor recently was honored at the El Dorado Film Festival.
Frank H. Thurmond, visiting professor of English, won 鈥渂est screenplay鈥� for his work on a movie that also earned nominations for best director and best southern film.
Thurmond was the writer and director of the movie, an 18-minute modern take on Chaucer鈥檚 鈥淧ardoner鈥檚 Tale.鈥�
El Dorado, Arkansas, hosted the second-year , Sept. 17-19.
