The University of Arkansas at Little Rock community will have the opportunity to play and socialize with rescue and shelter dogs of all ages from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, next to Ottenheimer Library.
Because Rent-A-Puppy was such a success last year, the university鈥檚 Chi Omega Gamma Zeta chapter has decided to again host the activity.
鈥淚t is a wonderful event that will allow students to have a relaxing time between or after class and, most importantly, get tons of puppy kisses,鈥� said Taurine Main, a member of the Chi Omega Gamma Zeta Chapter.
Rent-A-Puppy offers dog rescue and shelter organizations in central Arkansas some public exposure and gives their adoptable dogs an opportunity to receive affection and, potentially, new homes.
Attendees may rent a dog for $5 for 15 minutes and $2 for five minutes. Toys will be provided, and dogs will be on leashes for people to handle.
The event will be used to raise funds for , one of the focuses of the chapter鈥檚 philanthropy. The national nonprofit organization grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
