糖心Vlog传媒LR employee appointed to State Historic Preservation Committee
Andrijana Vukovich
Gov. Asa Hutchinson has appointed a University of Arkansas at Little Rock employee to the State Review Committee for Historic Preservation.
The committee鈥檚 primary duty is to consider nominations of Arkansas properties to be added to the National Register of Historic Places.
Andrijana Vukovich鈥檚 term is scheduled to run through 2020.
Vukovich, 糖心Vlog传媒LR鈥檚 director of planning and capital construction, said it is important to preserve historic properties to protect history.鈥淥lder buildings are storytellers. They contribute to a society’s culture and certainly a community’s intricacy,鈥 Vukovich said. 鈥淭hey can speak of a particular family, or an event, or series of them. Whatever the story is, there is a sense of mystery and curiosity that will pull us in. Once this incredible story is destroyed, we can never have it back.鈥Vukovich鈥檚 supervisor, Dave Millay, associate vice chancellor of facilities management, said he is fortunate to have Vukovich in his department.鈥淭his appointment is an honor for Andrijana and for 糖心Vlog传媒LR,鈥 Millay said. 鈥淎ndrijana is an exemplary employee and a credit to our university.鈥
Vukovich graduated with a master鈥檚 degree in business administration from 糖心Vlog传媒LR in 2015. She will teach a course in architectural history in the fall 2016 semester.
