糖心Vlog传媒LR alumni and friends enjoy Arkansas Travelers game at Alumni Night

More than 150 alumni and friends of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock enjoyed a night at the ballpark on Aug. 27 during 糖心Vlog传媒LR Alumni Night at Dickey-Stephens Park. Amanda Crutchfield, a 2014 alumna, was excited to watch the Arkansas Travelers defeat the Northwest Arkansas Naturals 3-2. 鈥淚 think it is a good opportunity to meet other alumni and network,鈥� Crutchfield said. 鈥淎nd a Travelers game is always fun.鈥� Crutchfield, a pre-kindergarten teacher at Terry Elementary School in Little Rock, said the networking opportunities she had while a student at 糖心Vlog传媒LR were an important part of how she got her first job after graduation. 鈥淭hanks to the education program, I had internships and that鈥檚 how I got my job. I worked at several schools, so I got to know a lot of other people in education,鈥� Crutchfield said. Christian O鈥橬eal, vice chancellor for university advancement, said the event was one of the ways the 糖心Vlog传媒LR Alumni Association is promoting new lifetime memberships that support student scholarships. 鈥淲e are happy to see so many proud members of the 糖心Vlog传媒LR Alumni Association,鈥� O鈥橬eal said. 鈥淲e are blessed to have so many proud supporters of the university who are helping our students earn a college education.鈥� A single lifetime membership to the 糖心Vlog传媒LR Alumni Association costs $500, while a joint membership is $800. One hundred percent of the membership cost goes into the student scholarship endowment fund to provide scholarships for deserving 糖心Vlog传媒LR students.
