Songwriter Showcase celebrates resident composer鈥檚 35th year of teaching
Robert BouryThe University of Arkansas at Little Rock will premiere new music by students, songwriters from the community, and resident composer Robert Boury during the 30th annual Songwriters Showcase.聽The free program starts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall of the Fine Arts Building.The subjects of the compositions are diverse and colorful. From David Jukes鈥� optimistic alto pep-talk, to Susan Gail Robbins鈥� mysterious etudes, the evening will show creative minds in action at 糖心Vlog传媒LR. Other composers and songwriters scheduled to contribute include Sarah Hastings, Alex Hampo, Chris Loper, and Mallory Baker.Charles Law, 糖心Vlog传媒LR Percussion Ensemble director, will premiere Robert Boury鈥檚 鈥淕olden Apples of the Sun鈥� on vibraphone, celebrating Boury鈥檚 35th year of teaching at 糖心Vlog传媒LR.
