糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock kicks off Student Success Workshop Series

University of Arkansas at Little Rock students can learn some valuable skills to prepare them for college life during the September Student Success Workshop Series.听   Students will get the chance to take career assessment tests and learn how these results relate to 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock majors, research career salaries, and set career goals during the 鈥淲hat is My Major? Career Exploration and Goals鈥 Workshop at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, and Wednesday, Sept. 13, in Donaghey Student Center Room 205D. Academic Advisor Yvette Palmer and Counselor Aresh Assadi will lead the workshop. The next workshop, 鈥淲ho am I, Really? Study Strategies for College Success鈥 will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, and Wednesday, Sept. 20, in Donaghey Student Center Room 205D. Brandon Scott, academic mentor and administrative specialist, will lead a workshop where participants take personality, learning style, and brain dominance assessments to discover more information about themselves. The results can be used to improve studying, reading, note taking, and test preparation skills. In the final September workshop, Carlia Smith, director of financial aid, and Allison Holland, director of the Writing Center, will lead the 鈥淗ow Can I Get More Money for College? Financing Your College Education Workshop鈥 at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26, and Wednesday, Sept. 27, in Donaghey Student Center Room 205D. Students will learn about scholarship and grant opportunities, 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock financial aid and student account policies, and how to write a scholarship essay.
