Professor Emeritus starts scholarship for Latino students in honor of deceased son
Wesley RichardProfessor Emeritus of Sociology Terry Richard-Trevi帽o and his twin brother, Jerry Richard, have donated $11,000 to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to start a scholarship that will support Latino students at 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock.The Wesley, Jerry, and Terry Scholarship Award is named in honor of the twin brothers and Terry Richard-Trevi帽o鈥檚 son, Wesley, a 34-year-old veteran who passed away April 9 due to trauma suffered while serving in Iraq.Richard served as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and served two terms of combat during Operation Iraqi Freedom.鈥淗e was my son, and he was my hero,鈥 Terry Richard-Trevi帽o said.Richard also attended 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock, where he was honored on the Chancellor鈥檚 List during his first year of college and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
