糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 fall 2019 Weekend University offerings include lectures on medieval cities, forensic anthropology, and anti-discrimination laws

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will start its second offering of Weekend University classes with topics that range across foreign cities like Barcelona, Spain, and Al Baleed, Oman, to the secrets of forensic anthropology.听 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock Downtown, 333 President Clinton Ave., began hosting the Weekend University courses as a new offering in spring 2019. This semester, Weekend University, part of 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 Extended Education program, will offer morning and afternoon sessions on Saturdays led by 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock faculty. The fall schedule includes two sessions on Oct. 5 and Oct. 12. The cost is $15 per session or $25 for two on the same day.听 鈥淭his new schedule for Weekend University promises to be just as exciting and informative as the inaugural run,鈥� said Sarah Beth Estes, dean of the College of Arts, Letters, and Sciences. 鈥淭opics cover forensic anthropology, appearance discrimination at work, and the fascinating history of medieval cities, We hope the community will join us downtown to continue their lifelong learning with 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock.鈥�听 Weekend University鈥檚 fall 2019 schedule includes:听 Oct. 5 鈥� 鈥淏arcelona: City of Wonders,鈥� 10:30-11:30 a.m., Andrew Deiser, chair of the Department of World Languages听 Oct. 5 鈥� 鈥淎ncient Frankincense Routes of Arabia: Archaeology of the Medieval Port City of Al Baleed,鈥� 1-2 p.m. Krista Lewis, chair of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology听 Oct. 12 鈥� 鈥淔orensic Anthropology: Reading the Clues in the Bones,鈥� 10:30-11:30 a.m., Katie King, associate professor of anthropology听 Oct. 12 鈥� 鈥淚s Beauty in the Eyes of the Beholder?
