糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock Jazz Ensemble to host spring concert April 18

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Jazz Ensemble will hold its spring jazz vocalist feature concert April 18. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Building on the 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock campus. The Jazz Ensemble, led by Dr. Michael Underwood, a principal trombonist with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, will perform four songs featuring students from the vocal department. The concert will include Hannah Blacklaw singing 鈥淲itchcraft鈥 by Cy Coleman and Carolyn Leigh; Brent Foster singing 鈥淭he Look of Love鈥 by Burt Bacharach; Mya Little singing 鈥淭hings Are Looking Up鈥 by George Gershwin; and Kyndal Collins singing 鈥淐ome Rain or Come Shine鈥 by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer. 鈥淲e will also feature Charles Mingus’s 鈥楪oodbye Pork Pie Hat,鈥 and end the concert with the Tower of Power classic, 鈥楽oul Vaccination,鈥 an apt song title for our times!鈥 Underwood said.
