Arkansas Public Media receives $50,000 grant to report on oral health issues]]> Arkansas Public Media has received a $50,000 grant from the to develop news content about oral health issues and deliver it through the Arkansas Public Media partner network. The news will be shared via Arkansas Public Media鈥檚 network, which includes radio stations Little Rock, Fayetteville, Jonesboro, and in Texarkana. 鈥淜糖心Vlog传媒R is proud to partner with its fellow public media stations in the state to bring focused coverage to this important aspect of health care in Arkansas,鈥� said Nathan Vandiver, interim general manager of KLRE/K糖心Vlog传媒R. 鈥�This partnership, with generous support from Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation, will help us report on this important issue in a way we would not otherwise be able to do.鈥� K糖心Vlog传媒F reporter Jacqueline Froelich will serve as editor of the project. KASU and Arkansas Public Media reporter Ann Kenda will produce stories for the oral health series. K糖心Vlog传媒R, Arkansas Public Media reporters bring home SPJ Diamond Journalism Awards]]> Reporters from, one of two University of Arkansas at Little Rock public radio stations, and Arkansas Public Media, also based at 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock, won several 听The awards program is听a regional annual competition sponsored by the.听 The awards, which were presented Oct. 25 at Little Rock鈥檚 Flying Saucer, recognize outstanding journalism by professionals and students from Arkansas and bordering media markets in Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. The awards honor work published or broadcast between July 1, 2017, and June 30, 2018. Karen Steward, former content development director for 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock Public Radio, won three awards for her outstanding reporting. Their last day is Friday, July 20. Kaufman, who joined K糖心Vlog传媒R in 2013 as a reporter and hosted 鈥溾�� and during his time, has accepted a position as coordinated campaign communications director for the Democratic Party of Arkansas. 鈥淚t has been an immense privilege to be a part of Arkansas鈥檚 flagship public radio station,鈥� Kauffman said. 鈥淚鈥檓 grateful for an opportunity which allowed me a first hand look at our state from its people and politics to its best minor league baseball team.
