Celebrate Homecoming Week Feb. 6-12

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will celebrate Homecoming 2022 with a variety of on-campus activities Feb. 6-12. Homecoming Week kicks off with a wrestling match vs. Arizona State at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, in the Jack Stephens Center. Military and first responders will be recognized, and the loudest student organization will take home a $100 prize. Homecoming Week continues with Maroon Monday, where you can meet members of the Homecoming Court from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Chi Omega Courtyard. Next, All ��Vlog��ý Little Rock departments are encouraged to show their Trojan spirit by decorating their offices in maroon and silver for the Trojan Office Door Contest. Winners will be announced on Friday, Feb. 11. The ��Vlog��ý Little Rock community will give back with a day of service and canned food drive for the Trojan Food Pantry from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, at Cooper Fountain, followed by a movie night featuring “Love and Basketball” at 6 p.m in Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Hall. Homecoming Week continues with Hoop Night from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, in the Donaghey Student Center Fitness Center, followed by Karaoke Night from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10 in the Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Hall. On Friday, Feb. 11, the hilarious Cardboard Boat Regatta will begin at 1 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Center Aquatic Center. This event will consist of students sailing in their handmade cardboard boats, hoping to stay afloat for as long as possible before their ships inevitably sink. Homecoming Day will kick off with tailgating at 10 a.m. on Campus Drive outside of the Fine Arts Building, followed by the Little Rock Women’s Basketball Team battling Arkansas State at 2 p.m. in the Jack Stephens Center. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will celebrate Homecoming 2020 Feb. 24-29. Homecoming Week begins with an on-campus decorating contest. All ��Vlog��ý Little Rock departments are encouraged to show their Trojan spirit by decorating their offices in maroon and silver. Departments can sign up for the contest via this link. Students can enjoy a Game Night from 6-9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, in Housing Commons and the WOW Café. The event includes free food, games, and a mobile gaming truck. The ��Vlog��ý Little Rock family can give back to the community by helping to pack 10,000 meals for families in need. Pack Shack will be held from 2-4 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Center Fitness Center. All meals will be donated to the Trojan Food Pantry. Discover who has the talent on campus during Karaoke from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the Donghey Student Center Ledbetter Hall. Free food and prizes will be available. Trojan fans can meet their favorite student-athletes and grab prizes during the Trojans Meet and Greet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, in Chi Omega Courtyard outside Ottenheimer Library. Wednesday’s festivities will continue with the fan favorite Faculty/Staff v. Students Basketball Game at 1 p.m. Feb. 26 in the Donaghey Student Center Fitness Center. Head to Dave and Buster’s, 10900 Bass Pro Parkway in Little Rock, for a game night from 6-9 p.m. The first 100 students who sign up will enjoy free food and games. Come cheer on the Trojan men’s basketball team as they take on the University of Louisiana at Monroe at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at the Jack Stephens Center. On Friday, Feb. 28, the hilarious Cardboard Boat Regatta will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Aquatic Center. Join the University of Arkansas at Little Rock as the university celebrates Homecoming weekend with volleyball and basketball games, tailgating, food trucks, and fun. The weekend events kick off with the annual Cardboard Boat Regatta at noon Friday, Nov. 10, in the Donaghey Student Aquatic Center. Participating organizations will sail their handmade cardboard boats in hopes of staying afloat throughout the competition. Show your Trojan spirit at Friday’s Pep Rally beginning at 6 p.m. in the Jack Stephens Center. Afterward, the ��Vlog��ý Little Rock will go head to head with Arkansas State University at 6:30 p.m. and celebrate senior night. On Homecoming Day, come tailgate with Trojan fans from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, outside of the Jack Stephens Center. The Trojan Alley Tailgate will feature inflatables, music, a photo booth, and more. Food trucks from Katmandu Momo, Little Penguin Tacos, and Black Hound Bar-B-Q will also be on site. During the tailgate, the Golf Cart Parade will take place at 12:30 p.m. in the Trojan Lane. Alumni, students, faculty, staff, and fans are invited to march to the Jack Stephens Center to cheer on Little Rock’s teams. The Trojans will take on Ouachita Baptist University at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Jack Stephens Center. Homecoming Royalty, individual competition award winners, and the Champions’ Cup winner will be announced during the game’s halftime show. Homecoming will conclude with the game against Memphis at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, in the Jack Stephens Center.

Home sweet Homecoming is on the horizon! Join the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Trojan community for one-of-a-kind Homecoming festivities Monday, Nov. 6, to Saturday, Nov. 11. This year’s Homecoming theme, “Celebrating 90 Years of Institutional Excellence,” pays homage to ��Vlog��ý Little Rock and its 90 years of growth and development since its inception in 1927. Student organizations are encouraged to utilize the theme throughout this year’s Homecoming activities for a chance to win the Champions Cup and $200. Homecoming festivities kick off on Maroon Monday, Nov. 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m in the Donaghey Student Center Courtyard. The Trojan community will have the opportunity to meet its student-athletes, enjoy music, and celebrate the university. Later that day, the first competition of the week, the Trojan Trek, will begin. Participants will be able to register for the race at 3:30 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Center outside of the bookstore. Once registration closes at 4 p.m., the 2 ½-mile course along the Coleman Creek Trail will be ready for treading. Competitors must guess their finish time prior to the race. Whoever finishes closest to the time they predicted will receive a prize. The Faculty and Staff vs. Student Basketball Game will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, in the Donaghey Student Fitness Center. Students who would like to participate can by clicking on the event labeled the “5v5 Basketball: Staff v. Students Homecoming Basketball Game.” Get in line for Throwback Thursday Karaoke ‘I Love the 90’s edition’ from 4 – 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, in the Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Hall. Organizations competing for the Champions Cup will perform first, but the floor will be open to all after their performances end. The annual Cardboard Boat Regatta will begin at noon Friday, Nov. 10, in the Donaghey Student Aquatic Center. Participating organizations will sail their handmade cardboard boats in hopes of staying afloat throughout the competition. Later that day, students will gather for the Homecoming Pep Rally at 6 p.m. in the main entrance of the Jack Stephens Center. Afterward, the ��Vlog��ý Little Rock women’s volleyball team will go head to head with Arkansas State University at 6:30 p.m. on the Jack Stephens main court. On Homecoming Day, Sat. Nov. 11, the annual Trojan Alley Tailgate will begin at 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. outside of the Jack Stephens Center. The entire Little Rock community is invited to come out and enjoy inflatables, food trucks, music, and more. During the tailgate, the Golf Cart Parade will take place at 12:30 p.m. in the Trojan Lane. Alumni, students, faculty, and staff are invited to march to the Jack Stephens Center to cheer on Little Rock’s teams for the upcoming games. Once the tailgate is over, Trojans can head to the Jack Stephens Center to watch the men’s basketball team as they take on Ouachita Baptist University at 3 p.m. Homecoming Royalty, individual competition award winners, and the Champions’ Cup winner will be announced during the game’s halftime.
