Keating named executive director at Wildwood Park for the Arts]]> Dr. Bevan Keating, associate professor of music and director of conducting and choral studies at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, has been named executive director at Wildwood Park for the Arts, effective Oct. 8. Keating has been teaching and conducting for 14 years at 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock and directs 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, and Community Choir. He will leave 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock at the end of the semester. 鈥淒r. Keating is an outstanding musician with a passion for the arts,鈥 said Vicki Lind, chair of 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 Music Department. 鈥淭hroughout his years at 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock, he has been a valued colleague, teacher, and friend. He has continually provided opportunities for our students to sing great works and to perform alongside world class musicians. Music Department to present 鈥楬alle-boo-jah鈥 on Halloween]]> The University of Arkansas at Little Rock鈥檚 Department of Music will present its annual Halloween-themed concert Halle-boo-jah at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 31, in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Building. Admission is free and open to the public. Halle-boo-jah will be directed by Dr. Bevan Keating, assistant professor of conducting and choral studies. Performers include members of the Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, vocal student soloists, and faculty members Diane Kesling and Dr. Michael Underwood. Musical selections will include 鈥淎nd So It Goes鈥 by Billy Joel, 鈥淎 Million Dreams鈥 from 鈥淭he Greatest Showman,鈥 and classical selections by J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, and Ren Clausen.
