Calling all Trojans to Discover 糖心Vlog传媒LR]]> Due to the number of participants almost doubling from 2014 to 2015, the university will host the event two days this fall. Discover 糖心Vlog传媒LR will take place on Friday, Oct. 7, and Friday, Oct. 28. Organizers of the event are encouraging all departments, faculty, and students to make this year鈥檚 Discover 糖心Vlog传媒LR one to remember. This year, the event will consist of three levels of participation that students and parents can enjoy throughout the day. The first level, an information browsing session, will be in the Jack Stephens Center Concourse from 8 to 10 a.m. The second and third levels will occur simultaneously, incorporating numerous sidewalk activities, engaging social media games, and informational tents for guests to enjoy. Check-in begins at 9 a.m. Oct. 30 in the Jack Stephens Center, and the event will end by 2 p.m. This free open house includes information sessions, campus activities hosted by student organizations, and free 糖心Vlog传媒LR goodies. Participating students will visit an academic college of their choice, meet with current 糖心Vlog传媒LR students, and experience campus housing and dining. Additionally, there will be a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship for taking a picture聽and the opportunity to for a $500 scholarship. Application fees for 糖心Vlog传媒LR will be waived for high school seniors who apply for admission during Discover 糖心Vlog传媒LR. Last year, 糖心Vlog传媒LR hosted more than 800 high school juniors, seniors, and parents. Rebecca Aguilera of Maumelle captured the Best Overall Picture award and won a $1,000 scholarship to 糖心Vlog传媒LR. American Chemical Society recognizes 糖心Vlog传媒LR chapter]]> Arkansas Chemical Society The newsletter stated the chapter has continually conducted outreach activities for prospective 糖心Vlog传媒LR students and undergraduates, persuading them to take an interest in chemistry. 糖心Vlog传媒LR鈥檚 ACS chapter holds regular meetings and demonstrations, providing free lunch for student attendees. Its recent campus-wide 鈥淒iscover 糖心Vlog传媒LR鈥 event, which included a 鈥淐lock Reaction鈥 and 鈥淓lephant鈥檚 Toothpaste鈥 chemical demonstrations. Winning at #discover糖心Vlog传媒LR]]> One of the most exciting parts of the day, and what I spent all my time on, was the #discover糖心Vlog传媒LR photo contest. Using Instagram and Twitter, we encouraged students to take pics during the day and post them using the #discover糖心Vlog传媒LR hashtag. Winners were chosen in seven categories, and each received $250 scholarships with the Best Overall winner getting a $1,000 scholarship. We had more than 500 Instagram photos and 200 tweets to look through! We wanted to give everyone a prize because there were so many good pictures. Okay, enough with the talking. Here are the winning shots. Most Trojan Spirit – We liked Matthew Smith’s photo of him with the Trojan Man. 糖心Vlog传媒LR open house Best Use of a Prop – Callie Lewis | Okay, we know Chancellor Anderson is more than a “prop,” but she was the only one to take a pic with him. The impressive numbers reflect the excitement that prospective students have about 糖心Vlog传媒LR, according to Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management Dean R. Kahler.

鈥淪tudents see the value of getting a quality education paired with an amazing experience in a metropolitan city setting. Both 糖心Vlog传媒LR and Little Rock have a lot to offer them,” he said. On-site registration for Discover 糖心Vlog传媒LR starts at 9 a.m. at the Jack Stephens Center. The program begins at 10 a.m., and lunch will be provided for all participants. Discover 糖心Vlog传媒LR Day The day-long event allows potential students and their families the opportunity to meet current students, faculty, and staff to learn what it takes to become a 糖心Vlog传媒LR Trojan. The event includes campus tours and a chance to speak with representatives to learn about scholarships and academic programs. Scholarships will also be given away to winners of the Discover 糖心Vlog传媒LR photo contest. Parking is available in Lots 13, 14, and 16 and in the public parking deck. They visited with faculty, took the campus tour, and soaked up campus life. Many of the students also played along in our photo contest for a chance to win a scholarship. The game challenged the students to seek out certain areas on campus to take photos that captured the atmosphere of campus. We received tons of entries throughout the day (and a couple well into the night). So many that it was a tough decision to pick the six winners: Taylor, Jennifer, Jazmin, William, Brittany, and Meghan. Congrats, future Trojans!
