There is going to be a lot of good baseball at Gary Hogan Field this spring.” Season tickets begin at $150 for reserved chairback seats, located directly behind home plate with a custom name plate. There will be no general admission season tickets this year, but the ticket office is offering a $75 Flex Plan, which includes 20 general admission vouchers which can be used for any game during the 2020 season. Individual game tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children for the upcoming Little Rock baseball season with group tickets available as well for $3 each when 10 or more tickets are purchased. Little Rock takes to the field at Gary Hogan 26 times this season, beginning February 14-16 against NCAA tournament participant Illinois State. The Trojans will also have non-conference home series against Evansville and South Dakota State with mid-week home contests against Louisiana Tech, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Central Arkansas and Oral Roberts. The 2019 Sun Belt home schedule brings five opponents to Gary Hogan Field, beginning with reigning West Division champion Louisiana. Georgia State then heads to Little Rock before the Trojans will welcome reigning Sun Belt and 2016 College World Series champion Coastal Carolina to Gary Hogan Field for the first time. Troy and Texas State round out Little Rock’s 2019 home conference foes. The competition will be tough as Little Rock will face five teams from Power-5 conferences as well as eight teams that appeared in the 2018 NCAA Tournament. The 56-game schedule will feature 28 games at Gary Hogan Field, 26 road games and one game played at neutral site Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock. “We couldn’t be more excited about this 2019 slate,” Curry said. “It might be the best schedule we’ve ever had with eight regional teams that made the postseason and five Power-5 teams. We have a lot of home games and we’re really excited. I think this team is poised for this level of competition being that they are an older and experienced team.” Little Rock will open the 2019 season on Feb. 15 at Gary Hogan Field where they will host Creighton for the first game of a three-game series. The Trojans will then travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma, to meet Big-12 opponent and NCAA Regional participant Oklahoma State for a two-game set starting on Feb. 19. After taking on the Cowboys, Little Rock will return home for a three-game series with Evansville starting on Feb. 22 and the first leg of a home-and-home series with Louisiana Tech on Feb. 26. Little Rock will continue their nonconference schedule when they head back on the road to take on another NCAA Regional team in Northwestern State. This three-game set in Natchitoches, Louisiana. will begin on March 1. The road trip will conclude on March 5 with trip to Oxford, Mississippi, for a matchup with SEC opponent Ole Miss who also featured in NCAA Regional play. South Dakota State will visit Little Rock for a three-game series starting on March 8 before the Trojans head up to Conway to take on in-state rival Central Arkansas for the first baseball competition in the I-40 Showdown. Sun Belt play will begin for the Trojans when they host Louisiana for a three-game set starting on March 12 before a mid-week matchup with Mississippi State on March 19, another SEC team who reached the College World Series last season. The road trip continues with another conference series with Georgia Southern starting on March 22 before heading to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to take on Oral Roberts on March 26. The Trojans will host Georgia State in a three-game set starting on March 29 before a historic game with national runner-ups Arkansas on April 2 at Baum Stadium in Fayetteville. This is the first time the Trojans and Razorbacks have met in the teams’ history. “It’s a team that should be able to handle this level of competition,” Curry continued. “These players, in the recruiting process, expressed that they want to measure themselves against the very best. Little Rock will finish the second leg of the home-and-home series with Louisiana Tech on April 23. To conclude the hectic April schedule, the Trojans will host NCAA Regional team Troy for a three-game series starting on April 26. This is only the beginning for him, and I’m proud to see his continued growth both professionally and personally. We have no doubt he will continue to succeed in this role and play a large part in expanding Little Rock’s Team.” Jones joined the department in the summer of 2017, working with the Trojan marketing department while pursuing his master’s degree in sport management, which he completed in 2018. During his time as a graduate assistant, Jones was responsible for season ticket sales for basketball while working with group sales and assisting with special events for the department. A former Little Rock student-athlete, Jones spent two seasons as a member of the Trojan baseball program, earning his bachelor’s degree in business in 2017. Jones transferred to Little Rock after spending two seasons at Cisco College, Texas. A native of Argyle, Texas, Jones was the District Player of the Year and a first team all-region selection in 2013. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The camp will focus on developing the fundamentals for young ball players to excel in every phase of the game. A Summer Showcase will then be held on July 19 for all high school players entering grades 9-12 and junior college athletes heading into their freshman or sophomore year. The camp will be an all day event beginning at 11 a.m. and highlight pro-style workouts including the 60-yard dash, arm-grades, bullpen sessions and batting practice to provide quality instruction for potential student-athletes. Each camp is designed for players to get first-hand experience with Head Coach Chris Curry and the Little Rock baseball coaching staff. Enrollment is on a first come-first serve basis. Clear Bag Policy announced for Gary Hogan Field]]> The policy is intended to allow fans more convenience and flexibility while still enhancing public safety and minimizing time spent searching bags at security checkpoints, allowing easier access to the park. The Little Rock Athletics clear bag policy permits Trojan fans to bring otherwise permissible items into Gary Hogan Field by using: – Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or – One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar) and – Small clutch purses no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″, the size of the palm of your hand, with or without a handle or straps. All clear bags and clutch purses will be screened prior to entry into Gary Hogan Field. All bags and purses not meeting the above requirements will not be allowed. Although permitted, childcare items, including diapers, must also be carried in an approved clear bag. With the implementation of the clear bag policy, coolers and other food containers will not be allowed into聽Gary Hogan Field. Admission gates will open two hours prior to first pitch. Fans carrying required medical supplies or devices into Gary Hogan Field are not subject to the clear bag policy, but will be asked to have their bag checked at their entry gate for a thorough screening of the bag and the medical items.
