ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ Little Rock Bookstore seeks applications for 2019 Book Grant Awards]]> The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Campus Bookstore will award up to $10,000 in student scholarships for the spring 2019 semester.  The Bookstore will award $500 scholarships to 20 ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ Little Rock students through its 2019 Book Grant Awards. The Bookstore Advisory Committee will consider academic achievement, leadership, community service, and financial need when selecting the winners. The scholarship is open to undergraduate students who have completed nine credit hours and graduate students who have completed six credit hours. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Middle Eastern Studies program seeking grant applications]]> University of Arkansas at Little Rock faculty, staff, and students are invited to apply for grants to support campus activities, teaching, and research in Middle Eastern studies.  The Middle Eastern Studies Program will award faculty grants of up to $3,000, adjunct faculty grants up to $500, student grants up to $2,500, and campus activity grants up to $2,000. Applicants are encouraged to think creatively about the activities the grants could fund. Projects related to any aspect of the Middle East or Middle Eastern studies are eligible. Examples of student grants include, but are not limited to, participation in an archaeological expedition in a Middle Eastern country, historical research, summer language study program in the US or abroad, study abroad in a Middle Eastern country, and internships with Washington DC-based think tanks focused on the Middle East. Faculty grants are intended to support the development of a course, or a course component, about the Middle East or research or creative activity related to the region. Campus activity grants will sponsor events on campus that support the mission of advancing Arkansans’ understanding of the Middle East. Events can include guest speakers, performers, and film screenings made by and/or about the Middle East or its people and cultures. Sustainability grant proposals accepted through April 3]]> The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Sustainability Committee is accepting submissions of innovative research and teaching proposals for a $2,500 grant toward the development and promotion of the principles of sustainability.  The submission deadline is 5 p.m. Monday, April 3. All full- and part-time faculty, instructors, and staff may apply. Funds may be used for travel, educational materials, equipment purchases, field trips, or guest speakers. All grant funds must be spent by the end of the fiscal year. Grant recipients are required to submit a written report at the end of the funding period and present a poster at the University of Arkansas Little Rock Sustainability Day 2018.
