Celebrate Homecoming Week Feb. 24-29]]> The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will celebrate Homecoming 2020 Feb. 24-29.  Homecoming Week begins with an on-campus decorating contest. All ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ Little Rock departments are encouraged to show their Trojan spirit by decorating their offices in maroon and silver. Departments can sign up for the contest via this link. Students can enjoy a Game Night from 6-9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, in Housing Commons and the WOW Café. The event includes free food, games, and a mobile gaming truck. The ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ Little Rock family can give back to the community by helping to pack 10,000 meals for families in need. Pack Shack will be held from 2-4 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Center Fitness Center. All meals will be donated to the Trojan Food Pantry. Discover who has the talent on campus during Karaoke from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the Donghey Student Center Ledbetter Hall. Free food and prizes will be available. Trojan fans can meet their favorite student-athletes and grab prizes during the Trojans Meet and Greet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, in Chi Omega Courtyard outside Ottenheimer Library. Wednesday’s festivities will continue with the fan favorite Faculty/Staff v. Students Basketball Game at 1 p.m. Feb. 26 in the Donaghey Student Center Fitness Center. Head to Dave and Buster’s, 10900 Bass Pro Parkway in Little Rock, for a game night from 6-9 p.m. The first 100 students who sign up will enjoy free food and games. Come cheer on the Trojan men’s basketball team as they take on the University of Louisiana at Monroe at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at the Jack Stephens Center. On Friday, Feb. 28, the hilarious Cardboard Boat Regatta will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Aquatic Center. This event will consist of students sailing in their handmade cardboard boats, hoping to stay afloat for as long as possible before their ships inevitably sink. Homecoming Week begins with Maroon Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 26 at the Donaghey Student Center Mall Area. ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ Little Rock will kick off the festivities with a chance to meet Trojan student-athletes, Maximus the mascot, and the Homecoming Court. The campus community is encouraged to celebrate the joy of giving during ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ Little Rock Giving Day on Tuesday, Nov. 27. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., stop by the Donaghey Student Center mall area to write thank-you notes to alumni and donors, share stories on social media, and/or make a gift to show support for the university. ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ Little Rock faculty and staff will face off against the students in the fan favorite Faculty/Staff v. Students Basketball Game at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, in the Donaghey Student Center Fitness Center. ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ Little Rock will hold a pep rally at Trojan Lane at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 28. Then, cheer on the Trojan women’s basketball team as they take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. in the Jack Stephens Center. Discover who has the talent on campus with Karaoke Takeover from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, in Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Hall. Homecoming Day starts at noon Saturday, Dec. 1, with the Trojan Tailgate in the Jack Stephens Center parking lot. The party will feature food trucks, tailgate tents, games, inflatables, and live radio broadcasts. The men’s basketball team will battle Sam Houston State at 3 p.m. in the Jack Stephens Center, followed by the women’s basketball team playing Western Kentucky at 5:30 p.m. Homecoming Royalty, individual competition winners, and Champions Cup winner will be announced at halftime. ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ Little Rock to celebrate Homecoming this weekend]]> Homecoming weekend with volleyball and basketball games, tailgating, food trucks, and fun.  The weekend events kick off with the annual Cardboard Boat Regatta at noon Friday, Nov. 10, in the Donaghey Student Aquatic Center. Participating organizations will sail their handmade cardboard boats in hopes of staying afloat throughout the competition. Show your Trojan spirit at Friday’s Pep Rally beginning at 6 p.m. in the Jack Stephens Center. Afterward, the ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ Little Rock will go head to head with Arkansas State University at 6:30 p.m. and celebrate senior night. On Homecoming Day, come tailgate with Trojan fans from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, outside of the Jack Stephens Center. The Trojan Alley Tailgate will feature inflatables, music, a photo booth, and more. Food trucks from Katmandu Momo, Little Penguin Tacos, and Black Hound Bar-B-Q will also be on site. During the tailgate, the Golf Cart Parade will take place at 12:30 p.m. in the Trojan Lane. Alumni, students, faculty, staff, and fans are invited to march to the Jack Stephens Center to cheer on Little Rock’s teams. The Trojans will take on Ouachita Baptist University at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Jack Stephens Center. Homecoming Royalty, individual competition award winners, and the Champions’ Cup winner will be announced during the game’s halftime show. Homecoming will conclude with the game against Memphis at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, in the Jack Stephens Center.

ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½LR to celebrate Homecoming Nov. 10-12]]> The Student Government Association and Little Rock Trojan Athletics are leading ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½LR’s Homecoming events with an aim to unite the Trojan family for friendly competitions, tailgating, and athletic events. This year’s Homecoming theme is the ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½LR Olympics. Student organizations are encouraged to participate in the events for a chance to win the first Champions’ Cup and a $200 prize. The first competition will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, in the Jack Stephens Center parking lot. Participants will take on the challenge of designing, painting, and displaying Olympic and athletic-themed decorations for a golf cart. Their work will later be displayed on Friday during the Homecoming parade. Next, the Cardboard Boat Regatta will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, in the Donaghey Student Aquatic Center. This event will consist of students sailing in their handmade cardboard boats, hoping to stay afloat for the duration of the competition. Following the cardboard race, the Trojan Trek Golf Cart Parade will take place on the Trojan Lane, the walkway between the residence halls, from 5 to 6 p.m. Alumni, students, faculty, and staff are invited to march from the Trojan Lane to the Jack Stephens Center to cheer on Little Rock’s teams for the upcoming games. Immediately following the parade, a pep rally featuring the women’s basketball team will be held at 6 p.m at the entrance of the Jack Stephens Center. The Lady Trojans will face off against the Lady Eagles of North Texas at 6:30 p.m. in the Jack Stephens Center. Homecoming Day starts at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, with the Trojan Alley Tailgate in the Jack Stephens Center parking lot. Sponsored by Academy Sports & Outdoors, the party will run through 2:30 p.m., featuring food trucks, tailgate tents, games, inflatables, and live radio broadcasts. The first 750 students to arrive will receive a food truck voucher from Chancellor Andrew Rogerson. Following the tailgate party at 3 p.m., ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½LR’s men’s basketball team will go toe to toe with Central Baptist College in the Jack Stephens Center. During halftime, the Homecoming Royalty winner will be announced along with the winner of the Champion’s Cup.
