Drale joined 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock in 2006 and served as the associate dean of the College of Professional Studies, associate vice chancellor for Academic Affairs, interim executive vice chancellor, and provost prior to becoming 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock’s first female chancellor in 2019. In addition to Chancellor Drale, the program will also feature Victoria DeFrancesco, dean of the Clinton School of Public Service and political analyst for NBC News and Telemundo; Heather Albright, senior vice president and senior relationship manager in middle market at Bank of America; and Sherece West-Scantlebury, president and CEO of the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation. Participants can attend virtually or in person at the Innovation Hub, 204 E 4th St., North Little Rock. 鈥淲ith women representing just over 10 percent of the cybersecurity workforce, events like these are so important for young women to see cybersecurity as a viable career choice,鈥 said Sandra Leiterman, managing director of the The keynote speaker is Beth-Anne Bygum, chief security and compliance officer for Acxiom. The event will also feature a panel discussion with women who work in cybersecurity careers and a question-and-answer forum. The panelists include La鈥橫ia Crutchfield, a senior at Bryant High School; Sarah Humphries, a sophomore at Lake Hamilton High School; Alexandria Cade of Acxiom; and Sarah Puolton of BreachBits. During each event, four distinguished speakers will share lessons learned and advice for leading companies. They will discuss management and growth strategies, commercialization opportunities, startup mistakes and how to avoid them, key skills for entrepreneurial success, and more. The will be held online from noon to 1:30 p.m. March 8. The speakers include Misti Staley, CEO of Staley House and inventor of the tube feeding assistant; Portia Carr, CEO of and a speech language pathologist; and Latanyua Robinson, president of . Also on the panel is Dr. Nancy Rusch, a partner at and professor and chair in the 糖心Vlog传媒MS Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. Additionally, Rusch leads the 糖心Vlog传媒MS Translational Research Institute Health Sciences Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program. New 鈥榓ccelHERate鈥 event offer startup advice for women]]> On March 8, International Women鈥檚 Day, the center will hold simultaneous 鈥渁ccelHERate鈥 events in Little Rock at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences BioVentures and in Jonesboro at the Arkansas Biosciences Institute. Both begin at 4:30 p.m. 鈥淪ince about 80 percent of tech company founders are male, we want to encourage more women to pursue entrepreneurship and view it as a viable career,鈥 said Laura Fine, ASBTDC state director. 鈥淲e hope women 鈥 particularly students in the STEM fields of science, technology, engineering and math 鈥 will attend accelHERate and be inspired by what they hear.鈥 Four women will speak at each location and then answer questions.
