This will be a particularly special commencement ceremony for all of us.鈥 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock will continue to follow guidelines recommended by the Arkansas Department of Health. Facemasks will be required, and hand sanitizing stations will be available for all guests.听 Back by popular demand will be celebratory photo backdrops created by Just Peachy. 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock will also hold contests for the best-decorated graduation cap. Graduates can get ready for commencement at Gradfest, a one-stop shop for all things graduation. The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, and Thursday, Oct. 14, in the Donaghey Student Center Campus Bookstore. Grads can get information on graduation applications, graduate school, and commencement, purchase cap and gowns, and order 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock class rings and graduation announcements. University of Arkansas Little Rock employees will receive a 30 percent discount on selected sections as university employees have the option of payroll deduction. Premium seating and other game day experience options remain available as we head into the 2019-20 season. The Junior Trojans Club will return for another season and remains priced at $50 per child with each additional child costing $40. The series is tied at 3-3 between the House and the Senate, with the Senate having won three years in a row. Celebrity players, coaches, and special guests will be on hand for the bipartisan exhibition game, which has raised more nearly $200,000 since its inception in 2013. General admission tickets are $10 and will be available at the door. In his new role, Jones will handle all ticket and group sales for Little Rock basketball, volleyball, and baseball games.听 “We are thrilled to be able to promote Seth as our new account executive,” said Associate Athletic Director of External Operations听. “He hit the ground running when he came on board a year ago and has shown a true passion to grow our fan base at the Jack Stephens Center and Gary Hogan Field. This is only the beginning for him, and I’m proud to see his continued growth both professionally and personally. We have no doubt he will continue to succeed in this role and play a large part in expanding Little Rock’s Team.” Jones joined the department in the summer of 2017, working with the Trojan marketing department while pursuing his master’s degree in sport management, which he completed in 2018. During his time as a graduate assistant, Jones was responsible for season ticket sales for basketball while working with group sales and assisting with special events for the department. A former Little Rock student-athlete, Jones spent two seasons as a member of the Trojan baseball program, earning his bachelor’s degree in business in 2017. Jones transferred to Little Rock after spending two seasons at Cisco College, Texas. A native of Argyle, Texas, Jones was the District Player of the Year and a first team all-region selection in 2013. Student Research and Creative Works Showcase expands to Jack Stephens Center]]> The event, formerly the Student Research and Creative Works Expo has a new location and an expanded emphasis that includes creative and service work – as well as professional application. 鈥淥ur major goal was to diversify the types of projects,鈥 said Dr. Jeremy Ecke, chair of the Student Research and Creative Works Committee. 鈥淲e have art installations, performances, and demonstrations, and we hope to continue to build and expand on the showcase.鈥 The event will feature the work of Signature Experience and Arkansas Student Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) awardees. Participation in the showcase was open to all undergraduate and graduate students. Fourteen students will give oral presentations during the showcase, and four students who are currently studying abroad have recorded their research presentations which will be available for viewing at the event. The showcase also include a 10-minute theatrical performance, 鈥淨uincea帽era鈥 by student Rosalinda Roper. Performance times will be at 12:05 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. adjacent to 听the Legends Room. The Trojan men’s and women’s basketball teams will be introduced at 6:30 p.m., followed by a full slate of events, including performances from the Trojan Dance Team, a three-point shooting contest, and a dunk contest. There will also be giveaways and contests for fans in attendance. In addition to the introduction of the Trojans, 2017-18 season ticket holders will be able to pick up their tickets at the Legends Room on the main concourse.
