Hagins will leave this week to prepare for the start of the season in late October. “I’m just ready to get out there,” Hagins said. “They offered me over the weekend, and I accepted on Monday. I’m just focused and ready to get my professional career started. I feel like my journey to the NBA is going to be a unique one. For me to start in Bosnia, it’s a little different, but I am definitely ready for it.” A 6-1 guard, Hagins leaves Little Rock ranked among the program’s top five for career scoring, assists, steals, field goals, and made 3-pointers. Hagins will report in early July, with practice set for July 3-7. Games will be played July 8-18 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of UNLV. Hagins enjoyed a banner year as a senior in the 2015-16 season. The four-year letterman was a First Team All-Sun Belt and NABC All-District pick. He finished his senior season averaging 13.2 points, 4.7 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. He ended his career ranked third on Little Rock’s all-time scoring list (1,475 points), third in assists (468), third in steals (179), fifth in made field goals (525), and fifth in made 3-pointers (175). He played more games (128) than any player in program history and trails only Derek Fisher on the program’s list for career minutes (3,496). During the first round NCAA matchup against No. 5 Purdue, the Trojans trailed by as many as 14 points in the second half before an incredible late-game comeback forced overtime. , a senior guard from Bossier City, La., forced the overtime with a deep 3-pointer, tying the game at 70-70 as time wound down. The Trojans used an 18-5 run over the final 3:30 to cause the game to go to the extra period, eventually winning the game 85-83 after double overtime.
