The AMP Power Women for 2021 were nominated by readers. Each has blazed a trail, exhibited outstanding leadership, or enhanced her company鈥檚 performance. 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock employees who were named to the AMP Power Women for 2021 list include: 路听 Joni Lee, vice chancellor for university affairs 路听 Meaghan Milliorn, interim co-director of communications and marketing 路听 Dr. Mia Phillips, assistant vice chancellor for student affairs 路听 Heather Reed, director of student retention services 路听 Elizabeth Small, director of business networking More information about the honorees: Lee is responsible for working with local, state and federal offices to elevate 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 position in the region. She has more than three decades of experience at 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock, and had previously served as a public policy researcher in the Center for Arkansas Initiatives, vice chancellor of university advancement, and chief government relations officer. Lee is a member of the inaugural class of the Civility Leadership Institute of General Wesley Clark鈥檚 organization, Renew America Together. 鈥淭here are so many women on this list for whom I have the greatest respect because of the amazing things they do every day that moves Arkansas forward.听 I鈥檓 honored to be listed among them.听 I feel privileged to work with an organization in 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock that impacts our state for the good and that I can be a part of that impact through my work.鈥 Milliorn heads up web, social media, and graphic design efforts for the university in the Office of Communications and Marketing. A 12-year veteran of 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock, Milliorn is a 2019 winner of the coveted Red Stapler Award for giving a best of track presentation at the Higher Education Web Professionals Association. 鈥淚 am proud to be included in this list of outstanding women in Arkansas, but it’s especially meaningful to be included among these other female leaders at 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock,鈥 Milliorn said. 鈥淭he past few years at 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock have really shown how dedicated our staff and faculty are to fully supporting our students and helping them succeed. I love that our students have so many different backgrounds and experiences, and that we have programs and resources for everyone. The fact that I can help communicate about and promote those programs and resources is really important to me, and I look forward to seeing all that we will accomplish as a university in the coming years.鈥 Reed is also a recent graduate of the Master of Public Administration Program at 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock, social media chair of 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 Phi Kappa Phi chapter, the 2021 Ben Fry Service to 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock Award winner, member of the Heartland of Arkansas United Way Board of Directors, and has recently been selected to join the Southern Regional Education Board Student Success Advisory Council. 鈥淚t is an honor to be nominated for the AMP Power Women for 2021,鈥 Reed said. 鈥淚 hope I can be a role model for other women in higher education but, most importantly, help students navigate their way through college to become future leaders in Arkansas!鈥 Phillips also serves as the director of the Multicultural Center at 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock and is the former communications and special project coordinator in the Office of the Chancellor. She also serves as a mentor for the Single Parent Scholarship Fund, member of the Vera Lloyd Foundation Board, as well as an advisor for the University鈥檚 Gospel Choir. A native of El Dorado, Arkansas, she earned her bachelor鈥檚 degree from the University of Central Arkansas, and master鈥檚 and doctoral degrees from 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock. “The women featured on the AMP Power Women for 2021 List are positively shaping their industries and enhancing their respective organizations in so many ways,鈥 Phillips said. 鈥淚t’s an honor to be included in such good company and to be recognized for doing the work that I love to do.” Small works with central Arkansas businesses to explore ways to partner and engage with 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock. She also heads 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 Real Estate Program in the School of Business. Prior to joining 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock, she served as chair of PDC Construction and president and CEO of PDC Companies. Milliorn receives coveted Red Stapler award for marketing presentation]]> Meaghan Milliorn, 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 manager of social media and web communications, has received a coveted Red Stapler award during the HighEdWeb 2019 Conference Oct. 13-16 in Milwaukee. The conference is held every year by the , an international organization of professionals working to design, develop, manage, and map the future of digital in higher education. Milliorn received the Red Stapler award for giving the best of track presentation in the 鈥淪upporting Our Students鈥 track. 鈥淵ou literally get a red stapler, and that serves as your trophy,鈥 Milliorn said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a play on the red stapler from 鈥極ffice Space,鈥 but it鈥檚 a coveted award. All of the winners go back and give their presentations a second time so the attendees have another chance to see the conference鈥檚 best presentations.鈥 Milliorn鈥檚 presentation, 鈥淎mplify Your 糖心Vlog传媒: How We鈥檙e Creating a Win-Win Solution in a Decentralized Web Structure,鈥 focused on the creation and launch of the university鈥檚 new marketing-focused academics website. The website was created at no cost to the university by the web team in the Office of Communications and Marketing, which includes Milliorn, user interface/user experience designer Ashi Franke, web analyst Toni Boyer Stewart, and front-end web developer Adam Spelbring. 鈥淲e had a consultant come to campus last year, and his report had some clear suggestions and recommendations,鈥 Milliorn said. 鈥淲e needed to do a better job at promoting our academic programs. We were not giving students what they were looking for, so we decided to create a whole new website that is about marketing our academics to prospective students and providing the information in a way that makes sense to them.鈥 The new website has a consistent design with a landing page for each of the university鈥檚 more than 135 academic programs, with a link to the university鈥檚 online catalog as well as a section with career opportunities listing specific job titles and examples of potential employers who have hired 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock graduates with these majors.

鈥淭hat really resonates with our students because they can picture themselves working at a specific place in the future,鈥 Milliorn said. 鈥淭here is also a simple form to submit a request for more information about each program.鈥 Since the website鈥檚 launch on Aug. 15, more than 600 students have submitted forms expressing interest in 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 academic programs. Between Aug. 16 and Oct. 4, there was a 448 percent increase in pageviews from the old academics website to the newly launched website. Milliorn, who has been invited to give her presentation virtually at the University of Massachusetts, said it鈥檚 been exciting to finally win a Red Stapler after attending the conference since 2011. 鈥淚 have seen many Red Stapler winners over the years,鈥 she said. 鈥淭hey are great speakers, and I really looked up to them. My goal was just to provide a meaningful session for people, but to win a Red Stapler was the cherry on top.鈥澨]]>

Worth, Texas. The covers Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Keli Jacobi, director of strategic communications, won the silver award in the Institutional Opportunity and Inclusion Program category for a communications plan focused on the Trojan Food Pantry. Lonnie Timmons III Senior photographer Lonnie Timmons III received the silver award in the Color Photography Series category for pictures taken for the 鈥淢ajor Decisions鈥 advertising campaign highlighting successful majors at 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock. Meaghan Milliorn, online marketing manager, won the silver award in the Social Media Campaign category for a targeted digital campaign for student recruitment utilizing the 鈥淢ajor Decisions鈥 advertising campaign. In addition to the awards, Milliorn gave a presentation highlighting how 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock covered the Trojans men鈥檚 basketball team鈥檚 trip to the 2016 NCAA basketball tournament through social media. During 鈥淎 Cinderella Story: How One School Turned an NCAA Tournament Experience into Social Media Gold,鈥 Milliorn discussed best practices for managing social media when a university is unexpectedly cast into the national spotlight and how to capitalize on that attention.
