He replaces Chasse Conque, who left the university in August to become vice chancellor and AD at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. 鈥淕eorge Lee鈥檚 experience with our Trojan Athletics program, along with his thorough understanding of every aspect of NCAA Division I collegiate athletics, make him highly qualified for the position,” said Drale. “He is well respected by his colleagues and is dedicated to the success of our student athletes. The 2019-20 Little Rock home basketball season begins Wednesday, Nov. 13 when Coach Joe Foley’s reigning Sun Belt championship team host LSU at 6:30 p.m. The Trojan men begin the following night when Coach Darrell Walker begins his second season against Southwest Baptist on Thursday, Nov. 14. The Trojan men’s and women’s basketball teams will be introduced at 6:30 p.m., followed by a full slate of events, including performances from the Trojan Dance Team, a three-point shooting contest, and a dunk contest. There will also be giveaways and contests for fans in attendance. In addition to the introduction of the Trojans, 2017-18 season ticket holders will be able to pick up their tickets at the Legends Room on the main concourse. Parking passes, as well as information about Little Rock’s new clear bag policy, will also be distributed that evening. Meet the Trojans will serve as an official “tip-off” for the 2107-18 season, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, when the men’s basketball team hosts an exhibition contest against Southwest Baptist at the Jack Stephens Center. The regular season begins with the men’s game against Ouachita Baptist at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11. The women begin the defense of their Sun Belt Conference title the following day, taking on Memphis at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12. Both of the regular season openers will take place at the Jack Stephens Center.
