Bowen School of Law will host an open house 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, for those who are interested in attending law school. Participants will learn about the admissions process, life as a law student, and how to succeed in the legal profession. RSVP . Bowen will host a knowledge-sharing and networking meeting of academic advisors, career counselors, faculty, staff, lawyers, and judges who advise students about attending law school and pursuing legal careers 1-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22. The second annual pre-law advisors’ meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss the legal needs of Arkansas and exchange best practices with a focus on the Digital LSAT, financial planning, and mentorship programs. As the only meeting of its kind in Arkansas, anyone who works with students interested in pursuing a career in the legal profession is invited to attend.  The Bowen School of Law has been in the forefront of practice-ready and skills-focused learning for over 20 years. EIT to host Open House, April 27]]> The George W. Donaghey College of Engineering and Information Technology will host its third annual Open House on Friday, April 27. Guests may browse through the second and third floors of the EIT building from 1 to 3 p.m. to view student displays of capstone projects, theses, dissertations, and other research. Each department in the college will have an assigned area designated for its students’ work. Students who demonstrate the best projects will be awarded cash prizes as announced by Dean Lawrence Whitman during the closing ceremony. Last year, more than $1,500 was awarded to various students. To wrap up the afternoon, the college will host a reception from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the EIT auditorium, immediately followed by the awards ceremony. The event is open to the public.
