In 1961, Tolliver was the first and only black student assigned to attend Forest Heights Junior High School until 1963. She turned her story and the stories of the 24 other black students who integrated Little Rock鈥檚 four remaining public junior high schools into a book, which features in-depth interviews with those students. One of the students, Alvin Terry, will join Bell-Tolliver at the event. The event is free and open to the public. Copies of 鈥淭he First Twenty-Five鈥 can be purchased at the event for $34.95.]]>
