Through the program, students can pursue a degree at the community college and then transfer to 糖心Vlog传媒LR while remaining in Texarkana. Those interested might want to take note: A 糖心Vlog传媒LR-Texarkana onsite admissions, advising, and registration event is set to run from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at the community college campus, 3501 U of A Way, Texarkana. Attendees have a chance to win an iPad Mini. 糖心Vlog传媒LR will offer the following degree programs in Texarkana this fall:
  • Bachelor of Applied Science
  • Bachelor of Professional Studies
  • Bachelor of Business Administration in general business
  • Bachelor of Science in construction management

Former 糖心Vlog传媒LR dean honored by local nonprofit]]> Brenton plaqueThe conference room will be used for collaborative gatherings, which is one of the reasons why they chose to name the space after Dr. Brenton, according to City Connections President Jeff Spry. 鈥淚n her life, Angi modeled a grace and warmth about her that was endearing,鈥 Spry said. 鈥淪he especially understood the importance of building collaborative efforts when it came to working on social issues that were going to require a united effort.鈥 On display in the conference room is a commemorative plaque that reads, “In tribute to the life and work of Dr. Angi Brenton, ‘An exemplary educator… A peacemaker.'” Brenton enjoyed a long and prolific career in higher education before her death in May 2013 at age 60. In August 2012, she left 糖心Vlog传媒LR to accept a position at Western Carolina University as provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs. AngiBrentonCommitted to racial and ethnic justice, Dr. Brenton was a founding member of the Chancellor鈥檚 Committee on Race and Ethnicity. She played a key leadership role in the Institute of Government Survey Research Center鈥檚 annual racial attitudes surveys and conferences. She was central to the launch of the university鈥檚 Institute on Race and Ethnicity and also established a graduate certificate in conflict mediation at 糖心Vlog传媒LR in cooperation with the William H. Bowen School of Law. She was an inaugural faculty member for the , where she taught a class on communication conflict management. BacotBacot succeeds Dr. Roby Robertson, who served as director of IOG for 18 years before returning to the 糖心Vlog传媒LR faculty this summer. Bacot 聽comes to 糖心Vlog传媒LR from Elon University in North Carolina, where he served as director of the Elon University Poll, recognized as the 鈥減oll of record in North Carolina.鈥 He previously taught public administration at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte, Valdosta State University in Georgia, and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He earned his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Tennessee and his masters of public administration at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His special academic focus is environmental policy issues. 鈥淒r.
