The University of Arkansas at Little Rock raised $60,000 for undergraduate mathematics and science students during the eighth annual Fribourgh Award Reception held Sept. 28 at Pleasant Valley Country Club.聽

The first African American to walk in space will speak at the ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Summer Science Camp Tuesday, July 11, at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.聽

Jerry and Sherri Damerow, longtime supporters of STEM education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, will be honored during the eighth annual Fribourgh Award Reception.聽

During a summer camp for elementary students, a University of Arkansas at Little Rock robotics coach will offer fellow educators the chance to learn how to start robotics teams at their schools.聽

Sandra Leiterman, a math specialist in the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Educational Center, created the first VEX University (VEXU) robotics team in the state of Arkansas.聽

Six University of Arkansas at Little Rock students recently had the unique opportunity to present their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) research to state legislators and about 100 high school students.

Dr. Lawrence Whitman, dean of the George W. Donaghey College of Engineering and Technology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, traveled to Washington, D.C. Feb. 6-8 to meet with members of the Arkansas congressional delegation.聽

An all-girls high school robotics team coached by a University of Arkansas at Little Rock teacher hopes to get enough votes to earn a trip to the world robotics finals in Louisville, Kentucky.聽
