Students can enjoy free coffee and donuts before heading to class on Tuesday, Jan. 22, and Wednesday, Jan. 23. The morning treats will be available from 7-10 a.m. in the Donaghey Student Center foyer and 9 a.m. to noon in the Reynolds Business Building. The Student Affairs Success Initiatives office will launch a student book club discussion of former first lady Michelle Obama鈥檚 book, 鈥淏ecoming,鈥 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Jan. 22. Students can stop at the Donaghey Student Center Leadership Lounge to pick up a free copy of the book. The 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock Non-Traditional Programs office will host a hot cocoa and cider station from 4-6 p.m. on Jan. 22 and Jan. 23 in Donaghey Student Center outside room 216. On Jan. 23, students will show off their musical talents singing karaoke from 6:30-9 p.m. in Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Hall. On Thursday, Jan. 24, a registered student organization fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Center lower concourse. That evening, students can join friends for a gameshow at 6:30 p.m. in Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Hall. For more information on Welcome Back Week, visit the Student Experience Center.]]> 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock offering discounted rates to join Little Rock Marathon /news-archive/2018/10/24/discounted-little-rock-marathon/ Wed, 24 Oct 2018 16:46:42 +0000 /news/?p=72438 ... 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock offering discounted rates to join Little Rock Marathon]]> The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is offering all 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock students, employees and their families, and members of the Alumni Association the opportunity to participate in the Little Rock Marathon for a discounted rate to help promote personal health and personal fitness for members of the campus community.聽 University team participants will receive a reduction in their entry fee and a customized 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock t-shirt to wear during the 5K, 10K, half marathon, or full marathon the weekend of March 2-3, 2019. Fitness training will be available to help participants prepare for the event. Those interested are encouraged to register early since a limited number of discounted entries are available for the 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock team, including 20 each for the full marathon and half marathon, and 105 for the 5K and 10K races. The entry fees and discounted rates for the Little Rock Marathon include:
  • 聽聽聽聽聽Marathon, regular fee: $120, discounted fee: $85
  • 聽聽聽聽聽Half marathon, regular fee: $85, discounted fee: $60
  • 聽聽聽聽聽10K, regular fee: $50, discounted fee: $25
  • 聽聽聽聽聽5K, regular fee: $35, discounted fee: $10
Participants can register through 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22. Registration forms can be printed off. Completed forms and a check for the participant鈥檚 portion of the entry fee can be taken to the Cashier鈥檚 Office, located on the first floor of the Student Services Center, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Move-In Day set for Aug. 16]]> The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will be abuzz with activity on Thursday, Aug. 16, as students and their families arrive on campus for Move-In Day.聽 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock is seeking employees, students, alumni, and community volunteers to assist students and their families who will be moving in from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Volunteers are invaluable to the Move-In Day experience by welcoming new students and their families to campus, unloading cars, controlling traffic, and preparing lunch. “The first day of move-in is always full of excitement and anxiety for new students,鈥 said Patti Light, director of campus living. 鈥淰olunteers help give a personal touch to settling in on campus. We will have hundreds of students and guests on Aug. 16, looking to make 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock connections. We really need those helpful hands and faces to make those connections.” Check-in for students with last names A-L will be from 8 a.m. to noon while students with last names M-Z can check in between 1-5 p.m. Check-in locations include the first-floor lobbies of West Hall and East Hall, the Commons Great Room for North Hall and South Hall, and the University Village Clubhouse. A free lunch of hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, and water will be available outside the Trojan Grill from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. In the Student Commons building, a one-stop shop will be set up from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., where students can get their Trojan identification card, register their vehicle, and request a mailbox. To sign up to volunteer, fill out the . Campus police will direct traffic. Trailers and U-hauls are not allowed on campus during Move-In Day.
