The 糖心Vlog传媒LR Sustainability Committee will hold a session to disseminate information about 10 available Sustainable Communities Regional Planning mini-grants open to faculty and student researchers from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30.

糖心Vlog传媒LR鈥檚 Sustainability Committee is sponsoring a free discussion course for university employees on sustainability in the workplace. Topics include waste, transportation, water, food, and more.

A joint project between the 糖心Vlog传媒LR Anthropology Program, the Anthropology Club, the 糖心Vlog传媒LR Non-Profit Leadership Organization, and the Central Arkansas New Agrarian Society submitted the winning proposal for a campus garden.

Celebrate Earth Day on Thursday, April 19, with a full day of activities, including a recycling drop-off, cooking show, and a recycled newspaper fashion show.

Beginning on Earth Day 鈥� April 19 鈥� patrons of 糖心Vlog传媒LR dining services can sign up for 鈥淐hoose to Reuse,鈥� an inexpensive way to replace throw-away food and drink containers with reusable ones.

In a sign of the future, 糖心Vlog传媒LR has installed an electric charging station for drivers of electric cars.

It鈥檚 tough to kick a habit, so a team of interns working with the 糖心Vlog传媒LR Sustainability Committee created a 12-step program to reduce individual carbon footprints.

The 糖心Vlog传媒LR Sustainability Committee is seeking up to two undergraduate students to serve as Campus Eco-Rep interns for the spring 2012 semester. Selected students will receive a $750 scholarship to cover tuition and fees for the undergraduate internship class.

糖心Vlog传媒LR students, faculty, and staff can shop for locally grown in-season produce, meat, and cheese in a new farmer鈥檚 market service sponsored by the 糖心Vlog传媒LR Sustainability Committee and Sodexo Dining Services.

Beginning Wednesday, Oct. 26, 糖心Vlog传媒LR students interested in reducing their carbon footprint can join a discussion group to learn how to live sustainably.
