The 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock Percussion Ensemble will perform a diverse program of pieces including 鈥淭axidermy鈥 by Caroline Shaw, written for 12 clay flower pots, vibraphone, and marimba; 鈥淩E: Disaster鈥 by Susan Powell, a bombastic, thrilling quintet for five drums; 鈥淒esert Sunrise鈥 by Alex Stopa, written for keyboard percussion trio; and 鈥2+1鈥 by Ivan Trevino, a marimba duet played on a shared marimba. The Trojan Steel Band will perform an exciting mix of tunes across multiple genres. These include Two Soca tunes (鈥淧yxis鈥 and 鈥淐oconut Bay鈥), 鈥淭hriller鈥 by Michael Jackson, and 鈥淯nder the Sea鈥 from The Little Mermaid by Alan Menkin. Next, the 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock Choirs will perform their holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 310 W. 17th St., Little Rock. The concert, 鈥淢ysterium,鈥 will include the 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock Concert Choir, the 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock Women鈥檚 Choir, the Chamber Singers, and Night Shift. They will perform 鈥淪ing We Noel鈥 by Noel Goemanne, 鈥淐arol of the Bells鈥 by Peter Wilhousky, 鈥淒eck the Halls in 7/8鈥 by James McKelvy, 鈥淥 Magnum Mysterium鈥 by Andrej Makor, 鈥淣oel鈥 by Todd Smith, arr. Brad Holmes, 鈥淧ie Jesu鈥 by Malcom Archer, 鈥淲inter Solstice鈥 by Paul Carey, and 鈥淭antum Ergo鈥 by Gabriel Faure. Both events are free and open to the public.
