糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock to Hold Free Summer Intensive Art Camp for High School Students

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Department of Art and Design will host a free residential summer intensive art camp for high school students from June 17-24.
The artWAYS 2023 camp, now in its second year, will be provided at no cost to students and their families thanks to a generous grant from the Windgate Foundation. The free camp includes all art materials, meals, housing costs, and evening activities. The high school session is for rising juniors and seniors and is open for 45 students.
Students rotate through three or four emphasis areas during the day while studying with 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock professional faculty members who are also working artists. Students live on-campus in West Hall during the camp. Professional residential counselors live in the residence hall, coordinate evening activities, and are available to students 24 hours per day. Structured open studio sessions are available in the evening in the Windgate Center of Art and Design for students who want to continue their instruction.
Students will take the following sessions:
- 鈥淛ewelry as Self Expression鈥 with Metalsmithing and Jewelry Professor Lydia Martin
- 鈥淜inetic Sculpture鈥 with Woodworking Professor Peter Scheidt
- 鈥淢esoamerican Art鈥 with Art History Professor Lynne Larsen
- 鈥淪creenprint Factory鈥 with Printmaking Professor David Warren
High school students may apply for the program . The deadline to apply is March 1. Applicants will need to submit a recommendation letter from a visual arts teacher as well as a digital portfolio with at least five original images of their artwork.
