New Taste of Little Rock Date Set for April 25
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has set a new date to celebrate Taste of Little Rock on Tuesday, April 25, from 6-8 p.m.
Taste of Little Rock, 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 highly anticipated culinary and social event, and the corresponding 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock Giving Day raise funds for the 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock Alumni Scholarship Fund, which provides thousands of scholarship dollars every year to deserving 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock students. The events, originally scheduled for April 4, were postponed in light of the devastating tornado that hit Little Rock, North Little Rock, and other parts of Arkansas on March 31.
鈥淲ith many of our community members, volunteers, and restaurants impacted by the storms, we wanted to give everyone time to focus on the immediate needs of the community,鈥� said Kristi Smith, associate vice chancellor of alumni and development. 鈥淥ur thoughts and prayers continue to be with everyone in our area who has been impacted by the storms. We look forward to celebrating Taste of Little Rock and Giving Day on April 25 with all of our supporters.鈥�
Taste of Little Rock will honor alumnus James Bobo, a former president of the Alumni Board of Directors and current member of the Centennial Campaign Cabinet. The event is also a celebration of the university鈥檚 annual giving day. The university set a goal of raising $500,000 during this year鈥檚 Giving Day, including securing a gift from every county in Arkansas and every state in the nation.
Every gift made to the university through December 2027 will be a part of the Centennial Campaign. The university鈥檚 largest fundraising campaign has a goal of raising $250 million by the university鈥檚 100-year anniversary. The priorities of the campaign are scholarships, program excellence, student support and the living and learning environments.
