糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock to Celebrate Earth Day April 20
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is celebrating Earth Day with energy-efficient giveaways, local vendors, and an electronic recycling drive.
The Earth Day celebration will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 20, in the Chi Omega Courtyard outside Ottenheimer Library. Meanwhile, an electronic recycling drive will take place in Lot 15.
Local vendors will be on hand with plants, recycling demos, and sustainability education. 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 Peter Stuckey will be giving beekeeping demonstrations featuring bees from the Campus Garden, and Dr. John Landosky, City of Little Rock’s bicycle and pedestrian coordinator, will speak about the bike infrastructure in Little Rock.
Back by popular demand, the Sustainability Committee and Entergy are giving away free light bulbs and smart power strips, while 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock will be giving away free ice cream.
鈥淚t makes everybody recognize how important sustainability is,鈥� said Toni Boyer, chair of the Building and Grounds Committee at 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock. 鈥淓arth Day is a great way to learn more about sustainability, and underscore why it is important to the environment. It鈥檚 also a great way to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather in April.鈥�
