糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock to Present Spring Jazz and Wind Ensemble Concert April 23

The School of Literary and Performing Arts will host the Spring Jazz and Wind Ensemble Concert on Tuesday, April 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall on 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 campus.

The concert will feature joint performances that start with the 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 Wind Ensemble, led by Dr. Nickolas Doshier, director of music education, and end with the 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 Jazz Ensemble, led by Instructor Dr. Michael Underwood.

鈥淲e intend for it to be music鈥檚 call for joy and peace and the bringing together of people,鈥 Underwood said.

Songs to be performed include:

  • 鈥淲altz No. 2鈥 by Dmitri Shostakovich (arranged by Michael Brown)
  • 鈥淒usk鈥 by Steven Bryant
  • 鈥淪ong and Dance鈥 by Philip Sparke (arranged by Geoffrey Brand)
  • 鈥淟ights Out鈥 by Alex Shapiro
  • 鈥淜iss of Fire鈥
  • 鈥淥ne by One鈥 by Wayne Shorter
  • 鈥淢s. Bird鈥 by Dan Haerle
  • 鈥淪cott鈥檚 Place鈥 by the Count Basie Orchestra
  • 鈥淕aza Strip鈥 by Joseph Scianni

The performance of 鈥淪ong and Dance鈥 will feature 糖心Vlog传媒 Little Rock鈥檚 new trumpet instructor and the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra鈥檚 second trumpet, Dr. Andrew Stadler.
